We had this session planned out way in advance, then on the morning of the shoot we arrive at the location to find it closed down by the army because they had some rehearsals to do on that same morning. So much for planning.
We decided to make do with what we had, and I have to say Wangu and Kim were great sports about it and we really enjoyed this shoot. All in all it was a great shoot and we managed to sneak in one shot from our initial plan (The last one is my favourite).
We did a road trip to Eldoret a couple of weekends ago to take my in-laws to visit my folks. For those who don’t know, Eldoret is the home of champions (actually it’s Iten town that’s the home of champions but we also take pride in that) thanks to our long distance runners who come from this area and is rumoured to have one of the best climates in the world. It’s where I grew up before moving to the city and it is always so refreshing going back there away from all the hustle and bustle of Nairobi.
I love taking random pics of things that amuse me. And on thing trip I ended up bonding with some local animals, appreciate the greenery and had lunch with a great view.
The king cockerel.
Taking a bow.
Love taking macros of flowers, though I need to hook up a better lens for that.
Had a session with these two calfs, although one stole the show completely
Taking a bow.
The Real home of champions.
Hotel with a great view of Kerio Valley.
A child’s first year is my most exciting time of their early years. This is when the relationship between the parents and the child are made. You get to see them experience new things and their personality starts to come out then.
Kevin & Kairo wanted family portraits with their son, who is just an absolute bundle of joy, and we were so excited when they let us shoot them. This is one of my favourite family shoots. I think it was awesome. Let us know what you think.
