Cape Town – Open-Top-Tour,Table Mountain and Camps Bay
There are so many things to do and see while in Cape Town that you can get overwhelmed trying to do everything. Amongst the more popular tours are the wine tours, Robben Island and Table Mountain.
We really wanted to do one of the wine tours and the Table Mountain tour, so we booked the Table Mountain tour with our travel agent before got there. We thought we would have time to book the wine tour when we got there but we ended up being distracted by the beauty of the city and shopping. Next time we go to Cape Town a wine tour will be a priority 🙂
To get to the mountain you have to self drive or catch a cab, but a friend told us we could do the Open-Top Red Bus tour which goes to Table Mountain first thing in the morning. In addition to that the tour goes round to Camps Bay, Sea Point and ends at the V&A Waterfront, for less than a cab would have cost us.
Unfortunately, it was so cloudy on the morning of the tour that visibility was zero from the top of the mountain. But we still went up despite the weather and I have to say it was still pretty awesome. I overheard one lady say how eerie it was at the top on that particular morning, but the word I would have used was serene.
Here are few pics form Table Mountain and awesome views of Camps Bay.
First along the route was Long Street.
