Where is Blue Post Hotel?

January 26, 2012 travel photography

I do not know how to get to Blue Post Hotel. But that is not the point of this post. When I was a girl guide in primary school, we went for a trip to Thompson Falls and I fell into the falls.
These are not the Thompson falls, these are the fourteen falls.

In one word: Exquisite!

Babes went for a photo exploring adventure to Thika and came back with these…… I am in awe and if I could post over twenty pictures, you would see the beauty of this country of ours. Some of which we know about but never go to see.

Kuria asked me if this picture looked better in black and white or in colour, I had to go with black and white. Makes the movement seem more.

When I first saw this picture, it reminded me of Pan’s Labyrinth. And if you have watched that movie you know exactly what I speak of.

  1. Me and my lazy behind keeps saying I need to go to 14 falls but never do. This year had better not end before I do! Those are some good photos! And yes, this country of ours is beautiful!

  2. Wow!my grandaunt used to live near the falls. I have fond memories of visiting the falls and seeing the boys dive..aaaah.

I should head back there one of these days.

  3. Why have I never heard of 14 Falls? I have heard of T-falls but not these. I definitely need to do some more local travelling when I visit next.
Great pics. The tree growing on the side of the rocks is pretty cool.

  4. Blue Post Hotel is off the Thika Nyeri Highway – on your way back to Nairobi from Nyeri. Look for the place on the road that sort of branches off and upwards (like you’re climbing a hill).
